Russian Register joined the work of the 10th ENQA General Assembly, which took place on 17-18 October 2019 in Yerevan, Armenia. The event was organised in cooperation with the National Centre for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA) and was held in Yerevan, Armenia.
The welcome addresses as made by Arayik Harutyunyan, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport; Ruben Topchyan, Director, National Centre for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA) and Christoph Grolimund, President of ENQA.
The Assembly was highlighted by the panel discussion on regional perspectives “The added value of European cooperation in quality assurance”. It’s participants – Ekaterine Bagishvili, Acting Director, National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE, Georgia); Galina Motova, Deputy Director, National Centre of Public Accreditation (NPCA, Russia); Ruben Topchyan, Director, National Centre for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA, Armenia) and Alina Zhumagulova, Director, Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR, Kazakhstan) discussed various aspects of work of ENQA members in Easten Europe and Asian region. The panel discussion was moderated by Axel Aerden, Managing Director Flanders, Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO)
At the second day of the Assembly there were two presentations on the future trends in the development of QA in Higher Education. The presentations “Trends in quality audits” by Orla Lynch, Adviser Higher Education Quality, Department of Education and Skills, Ireland and “Reflecting on the future of quality assurance” by Achim Hopbach, Director, Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria) raised many questions and discussion.
Thematic poster sessions, which took place during two days of the Assembly became very popular among the participants.
